Normal Skills:
- Strong Java - be able to build/understand a project without an IDE (of course you can use one if you still want to).
- Gradle and equivalent build system experience.
- REST architecture and design; HTTP protocol.
- JDBC/SQL for both Oracle and HyperSQL (hsqldb).
- Java concurrency; understanding of low level threading API as well as java.util.concurrent API.
- Jackson JSON
- HTML & FreeMarker/Velocity templating.
- AngularJS
- Streaming, Column stores, Document stores.
- A love for automation.
- A hatred for slow software.
- Ability to find needles in haystacks.
- Ability to perform tasks before they are assigned.
