Normal Skills: 

• Strong Java - be able to build/understand a project without an IDE (of course you can use one if you still want to).
• Gradle and equivalent build system experience.
• REST architecture and design; HTTP protocol.
• JDBC/SQL for both Oracle and HyperSQL (hsqldb).
• Java concurrency; understanding of low level threading API as well as java.util.concurrent API.
• Jackson JSON
• HTML & FreeMarker/Velocity templating.
• AngularJS
• Streaming, Column stores, Document stores.
